Contact Starring Jodie Foster, this movie has a stellar cast and a story that transcends space and time. There isn’t a single bad part in this movie. It doesn’t have a single dull moment and is full of spectacular scenes. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial This movie is so inspirational that it still influences audiences today. This movie has a simple plot, but it manages to tell an epic and emotional story of a special friendship between a young boy and alien.

Apocalypse Now

From the minds of Coppola and Scorsese comes the ultimate cult classic. Apocalypse Now follows the journey of Colonel Kurtz (Martin Sheen), the North Vietnamese Officer in Charge of a private military base that is off the coast of Vietnam. The world is turned upside down after Col. Kurtz’s daughter is kidnapped. Along the way, there are bloody shootouts, unspeakable torture, rampant alcoholism and bizarre personalities, among other things. The sheer beauty and thrill of the movie and its plot line will have you hooked all the way until the end. If you haven’t seen Apocalypse Now, do yourself a favor and watch it. You won’t regret it. Even if you aren’t a movie buff, you’re going to love this movie. 2001 is an amazing movie that does something that almost no other movie does: it explores the vastness of the universe.

The original blockbuster was a huge success, proving that George Lucas had a good grasp of what made a hit movie. The plot was simple: a cowboy named Indiana Jones is sent by a magician to help him look for the Ark of the Covenant. The movie hit the big screen in May of 1981, and audiences were amazed by the movie’s incredible special effects. The special effects were groundbreaking at the time, and the production was a quick one. The movie was shot in 3 days at a cost of only $12 million. It’s rare that a movie this good came out for this little money. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade In The Last Crusade, the movie picks up 25 years after the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Jones is back in Nazi Germany, looking for the Holy Grail.

The Shawshank Redemption

The Shawshank Redemption is directed by Frank Darabont Released in 1994. The film won Academy Awards for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Editing. After being wrongly convicted of murder and escaping from prison, Andy Dufresne, played by Morgan Freeman, travels to Shawshank State Penitentiary, where he gets the help he needs to find freedom. Taxi Driver Released in 1976, Taxi Driver is directed by Martin Scorsese. Robert De Niro’s character Travis Bickle, a taxi driver, has a passion for his job and who he has no patience for his clients. As the story unfolds, we see what happens to Bickle after one of his clients is raped. Scorsese won Best Director and Best Screenplay Oscars for this film.

Star Wars IV-VI

Do you want to be a part of the Star Wars saga? The first seven movies in the saga are a must watch. After those first six, you need to start watching the other movies. The original trilogy is widely considered one of the best of all time. It stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, and other. You can watch the original trilogy on Youtube or even a special where they recreate the movies exactly as they were meant to be seen. The classic Alfred Hitchcock film is among the best films ever made. It’s funny, suspenseful, and has a great cast. This film stars James Stewart as a blind news reporter that suspects his neighbor, played by Kim Novak, is a murderer. Novak acts out some of the film’s most shocking scenes. The best thing about this film is the twists and turns Hitchcock takes. The story can be hard to follow at times, but you’ll be hooked once you start watching. Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back The Empire Strikes Back was released 40 years ago this week. This is one of the best Star Wars films and one of the best films of all time.
